As Term 4 2009 draws to a close, Elchemi Education (EE) would like to wish all the students from our schools the best of luck in your year-end exams!
It’s been an exciting year for us here at EE. Our
National Schools’ Podcast Competition saw unprecedented number of participants and submissions, with entries from the SANA category being used in their outreach programmes. (
Click here for more information on SANA.)
The
National Schools’ Comic Life Competition, organized in partnership with Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Secondary) and Paya Lebar Methodist Girls’ School (Primary) also saw schools from all over Singapore competing against one another based on the theme “Sportsmanship”. The results of which can be seen here.
Special thanks to our partners for making these events a resounding success!
We’re also pleased to announce that there will be a new event starting next year, the Digital Music Carnival (DMC) and this will be taking place during the January – March period. Look out soon for our invitations to participant in this exciting new event which will be covering Avant Guarde music and Digital DJ workshops. If you or your school would like to book us for enrichment classes on digital music using either the iPod Touch or your macs, you can enquire for more information at
training@elchemi.net.
We are also very pleased to announce that Elchemi Education is now a bona fide developer for the Macintosh and iPod / iPhone platform. We have an application available for download on the iTunes application store:
iPlot Wheel Lite is a plot wheel generator designed for students to help them in creative writing and idea generation for their film making or podcasting endeavors. We will be adding content frequently via updatable genres, such as a Comedy, Horror and Action/Adventure, so do check back now and again to scope out what's in store.
iPlot Wheel Lite is still in Beta, so feedback and suggestions are always welcome! Don’t forget to rate the app too.
EE has spent the past year developing mobile learning journeys using portable technologies such as laptops and the iPod Touch, and was recently featured in the Straits Times. We are now able to facilitate both learning journeys using iPod Touch / iPhone 3G(S), and to develop a learning journey application for your schools needs.
Programming for the iPod Touch / iPhone 3G(S) is also a new edition to EE’s. Drop us an email at training@elchemi.net for more information or call us during office hours at 6281 0323.
