Objectives

The inaugural Digital Music Festival (DMC) will see a different and fun approach to creating and producing original music. This event, a series of activites, workshops and competitions hopes to promote original and creative music as well as to give students a chance to showcase their musical talents.

Aims

• To excite youths in Singapore in creating and using original music/scores for their own productions and projects.
• To create mass awareness for using original composed music.
• To promote digital music creation amongst youth and amongst other digital mediums.
• To give students a chance to showcase their musical talent

The Competitions

The Digital Music Carnival will span from 1st November 2009 to 31st March 2010. Various activities are lined up for participants to engage them into the digital music scene. There will also be a series of workshops, bootcamps, showcases and competitions to promote the creative creation of media in the art of digital music production. This event is open to all primary and secondary schools as well as tetiary institutions.

There will be two main competitions in the Digital Music Carnival event:

• Digital Music Scoring Competition Category
• Avant Garde Category
