Race for the Elements

This is a mini adventure race for the participating schools (Secondary) to gain extra points in their movie.
Students will be given questions, which will lead them to Elchemi-Points (checkpoints) where they will receive an “element” at each checkpoint. The “element” is a COMPULSORY piece that the students can use in their movies to gain bonus points. For example, if the “element” is a comb, then the movie must contain a comb to get the additional points. There will be a total of 5(obtained from the race)+1(given) elements.

Elimination Round

Participants in the competition will be given themes for their stories. The judging is based on the students’ script and storyboard. All participants will be informed via email if they qualify for the next round of competition.

Workshop + Clinics

The finalist for the competition will be invited to attend a compulsory workshop as well as fortnightly clinics. The workshop will be a session on how to improve the quality of the video production. The clinics are checkpoints whereby the students return with any progress in their work for expert advice from our team of video making experts.

Prize presentation + Movie Showcase

The prize presentation will be held in February 08 at iShop. There will also be a showcase of the students’ work either at iShop or Cathay Cinema in March 08.
